Thank you for writing this! As someone currently in their 4th trimester but who knows what’s coming as a second-time mom, I reallllllly felt this one from top to bottom. The fleeting moments of chaos (like the ones described during your travels) can feel eternal and yet looking back from a more settled place you realize how temporary it all really is. I’m eager to join you in the 5th trimester very, very soon.
It’s truly the best bit! (Although the real secret is it keeps getting better every season and chapter.) I am in that fifth trimester with my second and the joy and the confidence of both new and my baby is palpable. I hope you continue to enjoy your journey. Thank you for sharing so far. 🤍
My son was born at the end of January, and every single time I've read your writing I laugh because it is so spot on to what I've felt or are currently going through. Literally finished showering while he was in the rocker and then read this post. Anyways - thank you for your writing, it makes me feel so seen during this wild, unknown, beautiful time.

Congratulations on almost making it through!! The 5th is coming for you :)
I felt this viscerally! I always thought of those nights as coming back from war - just looking at the nappy caddy now sends a shiver down my spine.
I was unapologetically thrilled when the caddy got demoted from bedroom caddy to spare caddy we keep in the living room.

This is such a gorgeous piece of writing, bravo to you for capturing this period so beautifully
My son was born two days after yours and I felt every word of this in my bones. Thank you for this newsletter, all the way from Australia ❤️
Thrilled that the same vibes apply, even with the seasons flipped!! 😅

In this now and you have written what I couldn’t verbalise! Thank you ❤️
